Network Referral SubgroupsNetwork Referral Subgroups offer business-building opportunities to Chamber members who thrive on direct business leads exchanged — and referrals tracked — through interaction at semi-monthly breakfast meetings. Each group consists of 12 to 20 business representatives from non-competing industries who steer appropriate referrals to other group participants on a regular basis.
Participants learn about others’ products and services; identify new potential customers and supply sources; discuss and attend other Chamber events individually or as a group; and establish relationships with others they know, like and trust. A typical meeting may include brief presentations from group members on their business, sharing or follow-up of referrals or business dealings with others in the group, and a reminder of other business-building Chamber activities. Many of the participants track the number and value of business-to-business referrals via mobile device or computer, using a customized software program. Participants are accepted through an application and approval process. Applicants must first be a Chamber member in good standing and represent an industry or profession not already filled within the subgroup where application is made. Participants pay an annual fee (in 2017, the fee is $75) and a one-time charge of $35 for new participants, in addition to their annual Chamber membership dues. The Chamber currently has two network referral subgroups. New Connections meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Referral Partners meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. To learn more about network referral subgroups and arrange to visit up to two sessions as a guest, contact the Chamber at (614) 888-3040. |
