The Worthington Area Chamber went into 2023 focused on moving the needle for our businesses and increasing our impact on the greater Worthington community.
Because of the 530+ businesses who invest annually in our Chamber, their financial support and the energy of nearly 400 of those businesses who actively worked with us, we were able to step out as catalytic leaders in our community and region receiving local, statewide and nationally recognitions.
Because of these businesses and partners:
- We gave business and economic development a voice and platform with the Amplify Worthington Podcast, partnering with the City of Worthington and David McCorkle. Together, we also hosted 10 Coffee & Conversations, the first Thursday of the month, where we grew informed of new businesses coming to town and new economic development projects. The Chamber also hosted 13 community leaders from businesses, the City and Worthington Schools to Economic Development 411 (ED411) put on by the Columbus Region.
- The Chamber revamped our business resources and benefits to assist in your recruitment and retainment efforts. These new, member exclusive programs include a group rated 401k, a resource to help pay down student loan debt and a prescription savings card. We also offer benefits to cut costs on credit card processing and shipping needs.
- We advocated in our community by cohosting a Candidate Forum that featured all City of Worthington City Council and Worthington Schools Board of Education candidates. We served on two Vision Worthington committees to ensure the voice of business was heard throughout the meetings. We were also actively involved in the hiring process of our future city manager.
Looking ahead to 2024, we are positioned to have an even greater year as we are focused on our Pillars of Progress. Our Chamber will remain relentless in our pursuit to impact this great community.
