Worthington Area Chamber Announces Leadership Transition

The Worthington Area Chamber announces that President/CEO Matt Lofy, who joined the Chamber in August 2021, will be transitioning from his role to pursue a new leadership opportunity.

Matt joined during a period of significant change—post-pandemic and following the retirement of his long time predecessor. Under his leadership, the Chamber rebuilt momentum, strengthened its advocacy voice, and introduced transformative initiatives that will serve Worthington for years to come.

Highlights of Matt’s tenure include modernizing the Chamber’s brand, mission and digital presence, subleasing our former Chamber-owned office and transitioning to a new space, resurrecting Leadership Worthington and the Women's Business Network, launching RISE, Worthington Works, the Worthington Business Advocacy Council, and Linworth Connect, as well as representing the business community on Vision Worthington committees and the Worthington Together Comprehensive Plan team.

“Leading this Chamber has been one of the greatest honors of my life," said Matt Lofy. "Together, we didn’t just recover from a challenging time—we reinvented ourselves. Worthington’s voice of business is stronger, its leadership bolder, and its future brighter. I’m proud of what we built and confident the best is yet to come."

The Chamber Board of Trustees will begin the process of identifying the next leader to continue advancing our mission of fostering a thriving business community.

“Our Chamber is well positioned to build upon the momentum that Matt created during his tenure leading our organization," said Matt Gregory, Chamber Board Chairman. "We thank Matt for his passionate servant leadership amid his many accomplishments, and we wish him nothing but the best in his new role.”
