Prepare to listen and learn as the Women's Business Network of the Chamber holds its next luncheon on Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at J. Gilbert's.

Whatever your age, job, or responsibilities, you can lead by listening. And, you can make sure your team achieves its potential by following through on the plans you create. Are you tired of having the same kind of unproductive conversation over and over again, listening to team members talk about a problem, complain about consequences and a lack of accountability, but never actually solve anything? Our speaker, Kay Coughlin, will share a simple, quick, yet powerful technique to get the most out of meetings and turn team members into problem-solving dynamos. In this session we’ll learn:

How to design a conversation that gets team members to focus on the problem and possible solutions, instead of just venting.
A sequence of three questions anyone can use to uncover the real obstacles getting in the way of their success, typically in less than 15 minutes.
The secret to helping team members motivate themselves by shifting the burden of problem-solving onto their shoulders - and off of yours.
The framework to have productive, empowering conversations not just once, but forever.

Kay will help us  learn the VIP Listening technique so you don’t have to waste another day in unproductive, frustrating meetings.
