Our topic for the July 23 session is:
 “Navigating the Digital World: Tips, Tricks, and Helpful Resources”
There are so many ways to exist in the digital world and technology is changing rapidly.  How do you keep up?  Fortunately, you don’t have to feel overwhelmed by all of the choices when it comes to apps, email, digital media, social media, etc. 
Erin Kelsey, lead librarian at Worthington Libraries, will discuss how to stay afloat in our digital world at work and at home. This includes managing email and other vehicles for communication, keeping track of photos and videos on many devices and the cloud, and evaluating your media usage to see what works and what doesn’t.  She will also talk about helpful resources to stay informed of digital trends.


Erin Kelsey works at the Old Worthington Library and helps to coordinate technology programs for library patrons and staff. She also regularly conducts outreach presentations on the library’s digital media services, social media and new technology.  Erin loves to jump head first into new technology so she can use it in her daily life and assist library patrons with technology questions. When she’s not navigating the digital world, she also hosts Literary Libations, a Worthington Library book club at The Pub Out Back. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, listening to audiobooks and playing with her 1-year-old son, Atticus.  
If you work in a home office or "wear all the hats" at a small office with five or fewer employees, the Chamber's Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) subgroup is for you.  At each monthly "brown bag lunch" style meeting, members exchange best practices and business leads and learn from experts about topics that affect small business owners and home-based businesses, including legal, tax, organizational, IT and marketing/promotion issues.
Business and Associate Members of the Chamber are eligible to join SOHO. SOHO members pay a subgroup participation fee of $30 per year, in addition to their regular Chamber dues. A prospective SOHO group member may attend the meeting free of charge for a one-month period and then may choose to sign up for the group with the $30 annual fee.
Registration is required. To register, click on REGISTER NOW on the screen at right. Select the member category if you are already a paid member of SOHO; the "Join SOHO and attend" category if you are joining the group for the coming year and attending this event; or the "Non-member/Guest" fee to attend this meeting free of charge as a prospective member (you may attend once as a guest).
