Eggs & Issues - Developing the Workforce

The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Worthington invite you to a quarterly speaker series that focuses our collaborative attention to exceptional learning opportunities for the business community.
The Eggs & Issues breakfast series – an extension of our growing Economic Development Committee and our popular Groundhog Day forecast breakfast – provides thoughtful discussion on development affairs in Worthington and its surrounding environs. The quarterly events will feature well-regarded regional or statewide subject matter experts in economic development, community development, urban planning, and related matters.
The series continues on Wednesday, July 29, from 7 to 9 a.m. at Holiday Inn Columbus-Worthington in the Griswold ballroom. A buffet breakfast will be served. Check-in and networking begin at 7 a.m.; the program begins at 7:30 a.m.
The second event in our series will center on workforce development and will feature a panel of regional and local experts, including:

Dawn Larzelere, Director, Governor's Office of Workforce Transformation
Brad Mitchell, Managing Director, Battelle for Kids, BFK Invest
Trent Bowers, Superintendent, Worthington Schools



Join the discussion about workforce development ... How can government leaders, educators and employers work together to create a unified workforce system to helps employers find the skilled workers they need to succeed and grow? How can we ensure that workers access the skills training and resources they need to compete for in-demand jobs?
A question-and-answer session will follow, facilitated by Jeffry Harris, economic development manager, City of Worthington, and Kathryn Paugh, president and CEO, Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce.
