Join Chamber members and guests at our 2020 Annual Meeting, where we will "Focus on What's Strong, not What's Wrong." The luncheon event will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.at Crowne Plaza Columbus North, 6500 Doubletree Ave., Columbus 43229.

You'll meet new trustees and board officers and honor retiring trustees; learn who will be named Volunteer of the Year; take part in door prize drawings; and enjoy the annual “Year in Pictures” video.

Our keynote speaker: leader, motivator and communicator Jim Mahoney, Ph.D.

Recognized as a dynamic international and national speaker and strategic advisor, Jim brings more than 40 years of experience as an educational leader and entrepreneur to inspire, motivate and challenge audiences from across the globe. His career experiences in education and not-for-profit leadership have made him an expert in areas such as strengths-based leadership, culture and engagement, and change management.

A longtime educator and entrepreneur, Jim has dedicated his life to bettering educational opportunities for all students, serving as a superintendent, principal, and teacher, as well as an adjunct professor at several Ohio universities.

In 2001, he joined Battelle for Kids as the organization’s first executive director. Under Jim’s 15 years of leadership, Battelle for Kids grew into a national not-for-profit that partners with school districts, state departments of education, business, and philanthropic organizations to advance educational equity and opportunity for all students. This work has impacted more than 6 million students and more than 400,000 educators nationwide.

Today, Jim serves as the founder of RedBrick Hill, LLC, a Chamber-member consulting organization, and as an executive in residence for Ohio University, Voinovich School.
