Healthy New Year, Worthington! Health and Fitness Expo 2018

The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce and The Shops at Worthington Place invite the public to have a “Healthy New Year, Worthington!” at the sixth annual Health & Fitness Expo, to ring in the new year on a healthy note for the entire community.

The event is planned for Thursday, Jan. 11, from noon to 6 p.m. at The Shops at Worthington Place, 7227 N. High St.



OhioHealth, a Silver Sustaining Member of the Chamber, is the presenting sponsor of the 2018 event.  

Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield and Sun Behavioral Health are corporate sponsors. Alyfe Wellbeing Strategies is a corporate partner.
        

The Expo will include:

health and fitness exhibits, screenings and giveaways at approximately 50 exhibitor booths, including many Chamber-member businesses in the health care field. The group includes hospitals, wellness companies, senior care and skilled nursing providers, physicians, chiropractors, dentists, eye care and hearing professionals, and others.      
exhibits sharing resources from public-sector health, safety and fitness resources.
door prize drawings for Expo participants who visit a required amount of health exhibits and mall merchants.
networking opportunities for business professionals.


OhioHealth will also offer its mobile mammography screening van in the parking lot at the Shops at Worthington Place from noon to 6 p.m.  Call (614) 566-1111 or (877) 566-1112 to make an appointment for a mammogram or bone density scan. (A doctor's prescription is needed for a bone density scan or a mammogram for a women under 40 years old. Prescriptions are not needed for other mammograms.)

Visitor information:
There is no charge for the public to attend. Lunchtime and late afternoon-to-evening hours will be popular times for business people to attend and find related programming and networking opportunities. Chamber members are invited to attend the January Business After Hours event, immediately following the Expo, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Blissful Trends. (See the separate calendar item for registration.)
