Healthy New Year, Worthington!
 Fourth Annual
Health & Fitness Expo  
The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce and The Shops at Worthington Place have invited the public to have a “Healthy New Year, Worthington!” at the fourth annual Health & Fitness Expo, to ring in the new year on a healthy note for the entire community.

The event is planned for Thursday, Jan. 7, from noon to 5 p.m. at The Shops at Worthington Place, 7227 N. High St., followed by a Business After Hours from 5 to 7 p.m., sponsored by The Maurer Group.

Mount Carmel Health System is the presenting sponsor of the 2016 event. Visitors to the Expo can learn about a variety of services and facilities provided by Mount Carmel, including the new MC Fitness & Health center nearby in Lewis Center, a 130,000-square-foot campus with fitness and health resources and physician offices.

Corporate sponsors known to date include Wesley Glen Retirement Community, Alyfe Wellbeing Strategies, Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, and The Laurels of Norworth and Worthington.

The Expo will include:

health and fitness exhibits, screenings and giveaways from more than 50 exhibitors, including many Chamber-member businesses in the health care field. The group includes hospitals, wellness companies, senior care and skilled nursing providers, physicians, chiropractors, dentists, eye care and hearing professionals, and others.      
exhibits sharing resources from public-sector health, safety and fitness resources.
door prize drawings for Expo participants who visit a required amount of health exhibits and mall merchants.
the launch of a mall-walking activity presented by Wesley Glen Retirement Community, encouraging the public to return to The Shops at Worthington Place for regular exercise.  
networking opportunities for business professionals.

Visitor information:
There is no charge for the public to attend. Lunchtime and late afternoon-to-evening hours will be popular times for business people to attend and find related programming and networking opportunities.
