The fact that you are seeking to change your daily outcomes by asking the question, “how can I move to working on my business,” means you are ready to take control. This presentation outlines six suggestions to assist you with controlling your daily activity in order to become more strategic with your time, effort and finances.

Mary, a small business owner and sought-after small business consultant understands every angle and every challenge associated with small business ownership. With over 20 years as a business owner and consultant, she has taken her experiences and turned them into Your Management Team’s rich offering of services and programs. This experience helps other small business owners to navigate their own challenges with a clear and defined path and expert resources, rather than by trial and error. As a small business owner Mary has lived the challenges of starting, surviving, and growing a business. After developing two start-up businesses, Mary started consulting where she assisted business owners in developing concepts, improving processes, and selling their business.

Mary understands the hours, dedication and focus needed to own and manage a business. This knowledge, combined with her desire to assist others, brought her to SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business as the non-profit arm of the SBA in 2007. Mary previously worked for SCORE, served as the Chairperson of the organization for several years, and provided her guidance and expertise to the Ohio Department of Development’s Entrepreneurial Roundtable and the Athena PowerLink Governing Board. Currently she is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Columbus chapter, where she has many leadership roles, including the chair of the 2013 Visionary Awards.

If you work in a home office or "wear all the hats" at a small office with five or fewer employees, the Chamber's Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) subgroup is for you.  At each monthly "brown bag lunch" style meeting, members exchange best practices and business leads and learn from experts about topics that affect small business owners and home-based businesses, including legal, tax, organizational, IT and marketing/promotion issues.
Business and Associate Members of the Chamber are eligible to join SOHO. SOHO members pay a subgroup participation fee of $30 per year, in addition to their regular Chamber dues. A prospective SOHO member may attend the meeting free of charge for a one-month period and then may choose sign up for the group with the $30 annual fee.

Select the member category if you are already a paid member of SOHO; the "Join SOHO and attend" category if you are joining the group for the coming year and attending this event; or the "Non-member/Guest" fee to attend this meeting free of charge as a prospective member (you may attend once as a guest).
