Great tastes and family fun awaited guests at A Taste of Worthington, the Chamber’s annual food sampling festival, on Friday, July 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the parking area of OfficeScape Corporate Center, 350 W. Wilson Bridge Road.  

Nearly 3,000 people attended and enjoyed 61 dishes from 26 area restaurants.


 

Admission was $3 per person (or $5 for two persons); children under 6 were admitted free. Parking was free in the convenient adjacent lots.
Guests enjoyed affordably priced ($1-$7) appetizers, entrées and desserts in a festive block party atmosphere. They voted on their favorite restaurant dishes in the "Peoples Choice Awards."  Soft drinks, bottled water, beer and wine also were sold by the Chamber.

Family fun also was on the "Taste" menu. Several styles of live music were performed by local vocalist Matt Munhall, along with the melodic sounds of the Tommy Wade Orchestra and Rendition, an oldies band. The Columbus Blue Jackets offered a street hockey activity area, and a family activity area included inflatables and other games. The kids' corner included an activity area supervised by Goddard School. Hypersounds Entertainment featured an inflatable activity area. Sponsor booths offered additional activities, including a photo area from LifeSpring Church, a caricature artist at the Keller Williams/LaBuda Advantage Team booth, and an opportunity to meet Worthington Resource Pantry food pantry volunteers at the Worthington Jewelers sponsor table.
