Topic: "Understanding Generational Differences in Language, Perceptions, and Values"

Speaker: Terrie Huston, owner of Intergenerational Communication Solutions  

Terrie Huston is the principal consultant and owner of Intergenerational Communication Solutions. In addition to facilitating training and leading workshops on generational communications and nonprofit board service, Terrie assists small to mid-size nonprofit organizations with issues impacting organizational effectiveness and growth. Services include analysis and recommendations in the areas of board and leadership development, process improvement, managing change and internal/external communications.
Terrie graduated summa cum laude with distinction from Otterbein College with a B.A. in organizational communications. Her distinction project included comprehensive independent research in the area of intergenerational communication in organizations, which culminated in a 69-page research thesis. Terrie and a colleague, Kerry Strayer, are in the process of extending this research outside of academia, for the purpose of co-authoring a book which will provide leaders faced with age-based organizational issues the interpersonal communication skills they need to find resolution.
Terrie is a member of the National and Central Ohio Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), The Capital City Organizational Development Network.  She is the immediate past president of the Central Ohio Chapter of ASTD.
