Acme Canine: Puppy Preschool

Group classes are great for the average puppy. They allow normal socialization with other dogs and people. They are not, however, designed to be effective with the overly shy or aggressive puppy. Acme Canine’s Puppy Preschool is limited to eight dogs and their owners. Multiple owners are encouraged to attend (after all, everyone in the home needs to be able to handle the puppy!) Humans age 8 and up are welcome; please leave small children at home, unless you have alternate adult supervision for them.
The sessions are set up on a rotating basis. Clients may begin attending at any point. At each session we cover housetraining, socialization, play biting, and handling for an examination or grooming. Throughout the five-session program, we discuss topics such as giving freedoms and setting boundaries, crate training, first aid, nutrition, confidence building, and puppy commands.
Meeting day and times: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Thursdays; 1:00 - 2:00 and 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Saturdays Age restrictions: Puppies may be up to 16 weeks of age. Vaccination policy: The puppy must be as current as he can be for the puppy’s age. Owner must bring vaccination record. Restriction: Puppy must have been in your home 10 days prior to attending these group lessons. This is to ensure the puppy does not have kennel cough or any other infections/diseases which take several days to show symptoms. COST: $25
