Joint Holiday BAH in Downtown Worthington - The Candle Lab, House Wine and Monaco's Catering

Three Chamber members -- House Wine, The Candle Lab and Monaco’s Catering -- will host a special Holiday Business After Hours (BAH) in Olde Worthington, on Thursday, December 6, from 5:30-7 p.m.

Check in at the meeting room of the former Fletcher's Sports Cafe, 650 High St., where you can check you coat, sign in and get a name tag. Then proceed to House Wine , 640 High St., and enjoy appetizers, sample wine and learn about wine. Then go next door to The Candle Lab , 646 High St. Pour your own candle, browse flavors and enjoy desserts and other beverages.

At both shops, savor the food catered by Monaco’s Catering and enter drawings for gift baskets, candle parties and gift certificates.

Bring an unwrapped gift or make a donation for Toys for Tots and be eligible for a prize drawing.

Wine novices and aficionados in the Worthington area now have a place to call “home” -- the recently opened House Wine in Old Worthington where wine buying is fun, simple and inter-active. We focus on education and exploration in a warm and relaxed atmosphere so that our customers are able to find their own “house wine” in no time.

We stock over 200 different labels. Our inventory is separated by country and each wine falls into a class. With our system, distinguishing wines by color and character, you can easily narrow down your wine preference.

House Wine will have 24 wines that you can “self serve” and try with our soon-to-be-introduced high-tech Enomatic wine dispensing machine.

And you can enjoy a bottle on premise for a small corkage fee. Limited glass pours will be available, with more glasses and flights on special nights. An array of “bites” will be offered to accompany your wine for more gratification.

The Candle Lab produces great candles with more than 120 pure scents from African Violet to Woodpile. We provide a longer burning, higher quality candle experience by using soy wax, cotton paper wicks and pure fragrance oils. Our candles will burn evenly and cleanly for up to 60 hours, filling your home or office with fragrance from beginning to end. Customers can buy off the shelves or pour their own candle.

Our candles make the perfect favor for weddings and baby showers and the perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries and the holidays! Our new holiday fragrances include Candy Cane, Cinnamon Stick, Christmas Tree, Hot Cocoa, First Snow, Gingerbread, Mistletoe, Santa’s Pipe, Silent Night, Sugared Shortbread and Winter Romance.
