High Road Gallary January Showing

The January show at High Road Gallery, 12 E Stafford Ave in historic Worthington, is called “OFF OUR BLOCKS GOES ON THE WALLS”. Off Our Blocks is an art quilt making cooperative. Judy Phillips is chairing the show, which will include a wide range of quilt techniques incorporating many fabrics, beads, photo transfer and additional collage materials. Part of the exhibition will be a set of challenge quilts measuring 12x12 on the theme “RED” or “READ”. QuiltTrends, a fiber store owned and run by Sue and David Sandritter, is sponsoring an award which will be given at the reception. Many 3 D objects will augment the show, including Abbe Cheek's clay vessels, fabric covered journals and fabric postcards.
The show will run from January 17 to January 27, 2007. The free opening reception will be January 21, a Sunday, from 2-4 PM. Gallery hours are 12-4 Wednesday through Friday and 11:30 to 4 on Saturday. Gallery phone is 614-781-6454. The web site is www.highroadgallery.org
