CHAMBER BOARD STUDIES SCHOOL LEVY PROPOSAL ­
> INFORMATION MEETING TO BE HELD ON MARCH 21

> The Chamber¹s board of trustees is studying the Worthington School
> District¹s proposed tax issue on the May 2 ballot, leaving open the
> option of the board taking a position on the ballot proposal. The school
> board has placed a combined 5-mill operating levy and a five-year
> 1.25-mill permanent improvements levy before voters this spring.

> To ensure that any issue that has significance for the business
> community is given thoughtful consideration, the board has put into
> effect a four-step process for making decisions, including gathering and
> studying information, obtaining input from members, evaluating these
> components and informing the membership. The Chamber¹s advocacy
> committee, which is leading the process for reviewing this issue, has
> scheduled a meeting with school officials for members to obtain
> information about the levy. Members may also share their views about the
> proposal at that time.

> The Lunch & Levy meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 21, at the
> Worthington Community Center, Community Room, 345 E. Wilson Bridge Rd.,
> from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees may bring their own lunch or
> purchase a box lunch at the event for $7. To register, contact Connie
