 fessional. Lt. Governor Jon Husted brings a wide range of experience and i
 nsight to the importance of local chambers in building our business commun
 ity and growing our local economy. He oversees?the?Ohio Common Sense Initi
 ative (CSI)?and?serves as the director of both the?Governor’s Office of 
 Workforce Transformation?and?InnovateOhio. A graduate of Montpelier High S
 chool\, he earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Univ
 ersity of Dayton (UD). After receiving his master’s degree\, he remained
  in the Miami Valley and served as Vice President for Economic Development
  at the Dayton-Area Chamber of Commerce. As Secretary of State\, Husted ma
 de it his mission to make Ohio the best state in the Midwest to do busines
 s by improving customer service and reducing wait times for entrepreneurs.
  Under his leadership\, the state moved beyond week-long processing of pap
 er forms and made it possible for businesses to interact with the state ov
 er the Internet with the click of a button. He also has reduced the cost f
 or starting a business in Ohio by 21 percent — making Ohio the least cos
 tly state in the Midwest to start and maintain a new business. In 2017\, S
 ecretary Husted announced the efficiencies in his office had not only allo
 wed him to cut the fees the state charged on Ohio entrepreneurs\, but also
  eliminate the need for taxpayer funding for the government office entirel
 y for the remainder of his term in office – a move that has saved taxpay
 ers millions of dollars. As House Speaker\, Jon led the passage of the mos
 t conservative state budget in 40 years\, which included\, at the time\, t
 he largest income tax cut in Ohio’s history. On Nov. 6\, 2018\, Jon Hust
