DESCRIPTION:Please join us Thursday morning\, Nov. 7\, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:
30 a.m. at the Chamber office for our Economic Development “Coffee and C

s on economic development projects in the area and respond to attendees’
questions. You may email questions in advance or ask them during the disc
ussion. Following our monthly discussion about current projects\, city gov
ernment updates and related issues\, our group will hear an information pr
esentation about the U.S. Census. The 2020 census is of significant import
ance to our Chamber businesses. In addition to primarily determining our r
epresentation in Congress\, the data obtained from the 2020 Census can ass
ist Chamber members with important business decisions. For example\, censu
s data can assist in projections of growth or decline\, therefore informin
g decisions on locating or relocating operations. Census data can enhance
hiring practices by identifying where potential employees are located. The
data can also provide information on a company’s customer base\, includ
ing income\, household size and homeownership status. Last but not least\,
2020 Census data will primarily determine how more than $675 billion in f
ederal monies are distributed annually to states\, counties\, municipaliti
es and local businesses in the form of grants and programs for local schoo
 ls\, hospitals\, emergency services\, transportation\, housing and a host
of other vital services that sustain and enhance the community\, and by ex
tension\, the business environment. Our speaker for this session will be M
ark Boyd\, Partnership Specialist\, Philadelphia Regional Census Center\,
U.S. Census Bureau The Chamber office is located at 90 E. Wilson Bridge Ro
