DESCRIPTION:MARKET DAY 2017 will be held on Saturday\, Sept. 23\, 2017\, ra
 in or shine. Location: Streets of Downtown Worthington - primarily along H
 igh Street (US 23)\, from SR 161 south to South Street. Hours: The event i
 s open to the community from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. VISITOR INFORMATION: On Mark
 et Day\, Worthington's largest one-day festival\, artisans gather on the s
 treets of downtown Worthington to present a colorful and varied display of
  quality hand-crafted goods from jewelry\, pottery and ceramics to beautif
 ul paintings\, decorative clothing and unique wood products. More than 250
  exhibitors typically display their wares each year\, and an estimated cro
 wd of 20\,000 visitors and residents enjoy the event throughout the day. C
 ommunity and local charitable groups also have fundraising and information
 al booths on display\, and a host of food vendors provide meals\, snacks a
 nd concessions ranging from signature local restaurant dishes to carnival-
 atmosphere snacks. Event parking is available at Thomas Worthington High S
 chool\, 300 W. Dublin-Granville Road\, west of Evening Street. A free shut
 tle service will run from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The shuttles travel from the
  high school to parking lot of The Worthington Inn and back\, and from the
  high school to the Griswold Center and back. Worthington police\, enginee
 ring and safety officials work year-long with the Chamber to plan for the 
 anticipated people\, vehicles and business patronage the festival brings t
 o our community. As the event nears\, please check website and Facebook po
 sts from local government that explain traffic patterns and parking accomm
 odations on the day of the event. Limited parking may be available at the 
 Worthington United Methodist Church via Hartford Street\, and at the Worth
 ington Municipal Parking Lot west of High Street behind The Worthington In
 n. The municipal parking lot on E. New England Avenue is reserved for hand
 icapped parking only during the event. Market Day is the ideal time to sup
 port your favorite downtown businesses and local community groups. Many ot
 her community groups take advantage of the lively atmosphere on Market Day
 \, with neighbors and guests assembling in the heart of our community\, to
  offer complementary activities for all ages. Watch for announcements abou
 t activities from libraries\, the historical society\, schools\, senior or
 ganizations\, Old Worthington Partnership and downtown merchants. EXHIBITO
 R INFORMATION: APPLICATION PROCEDURES Returning or preapproved exhibitors 
 may apply online (use the REGISTER NOW link to the right of the screen and
  follow the prompts) or with a printed application\, available for downloa
 d with the links below. New exhibitors are asked to use the printed applic
 ation\, available for download below or through an email directed to conne
 ct@worthingtonchamber.org. The Early Bird discount is available through Ju

 , or review the eligibility criteria below. Arts & Crafts Vendors: All ite
 ms sold must be handmade or handcrafted. No commercial or manufactured pro
 ducts will be accepted. Priority will be given to exhibitors selling their
  own work. Applicants who did not participate in the 2016 event must submi
 t two clear photographs of their product(s) and one photograph of their di

 . Community Groups: Community organizations are encouraged to sell handmad
 e or handcrafted items\; commercial products will be accepted only if they
  relate to the group’s mission. Community groups that have not participa
 ted in Market Day in the past must sell a product or food item. For food i
 tems requiring cooking or refrigeration (e.g.\, grilled brats)\, vendors a
 re responsible for obtaining a temporary food license from Columbus Public
  Health (fee not included in Market Day application fee). Use this link to

 W link to the right of the screen. Food Vendors: Priority will be given to
  food vendors who offer unique food offerings that are reasonably priced a
 nd will enhance the experience of those attending the arts and crafts fest
 ival. Applicants who did not participate in the 2015 event must submit pho
 tographs of their product(s) and display booth for review. Food vendors ar
 e responsible for obtaining all necessary food permits (available at this 
 link) to comply with Columbus Public Health regulations. Use this link to

 e right of the screen. Equipment: Participants are responsible for providi
 ng all of their booth materials and equipment. Permits and Licenses: The S
 tate of Ohio requires a vendor’s license for reporting sales tax. Each e
 xhibitor must obtain a vendor’s permit prior to the event. All permits m
 ust be available for inspection\, if necessary\, on the day of the event.

 Commerce and the City of Worthington\, their volunteers and representative
 s from any and all liability arising from participation in this event\, in
 cluding theft of property/merchandise\, damage or injury sustained by an e
 xhibitor\, his or her representatives or any other person\, caused by fire
 \, theft\, water or accidents of any sort. In consideration of this agreem
 ent\, the exhibitor expressly waives any and all claims\, legal or otherwi
 se\, for personal injury and/or property damage sustained while on any par
