L ocation: Streets of Downtown Worthington - primarily along High Street (US 23)\, from SR 161 south to South Street. Hours: The event is open to the community from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. VISITOR INFORMATION: On Market Day\, Wo rthington's largest one-day festival\, artisans gather on the streets of d owntown Worthington to present a colorful and varied display of quality ha nd-crafted goods from jewelry\, pottery and ceramics to beautiful painting s\, decorative clothing and unique wood products. More than 250 exhibitors typically display their wares each year\, and an estimated crowd of 20\,0 00 visitors and residents enjoy the event throughout the day. Community an d local charitable groups also have fundraising and informational booths o n display\, and a host of food vendors provide meals\, snacks and concessi ons ranging from signature local restaurant dishes to carnival-atmosphere snacks. Event parking is available at Thomas Worthington High School\, 300 W. Dublin-Granville Road\, west of Evening Street. A free shuttle service will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shuttles travel from the high school t o parking lot of The Worthington Inn and back\, and from the high school t o the Griswold Center and back. Worthington police\, engineering and safet y officials work year-long with the Chamber to plan for the anticipated pe ople\, vehicles and business patronage the festival brings to our communit y. As the event nears\, please check website and Facebook posts from local government that explain traffic patterns and parking accommodations on th e day of the event. Limited parking may be available at the Worthington Un ited Methodist Church via Hartford Street\, and at the Worthington Municip al Parking Lot west of High Street behind The Worthington Inn. The municip al parking lot on E. New England Avenue is reserved for handicapped parkin g only during the event. Market Day is the ideal time to support your favo rite downtown businesses and local community groups. Many other community groups take advantage of the lively atmosphere on Market Day\, with neighb ors and guests assembling in the heart of our community\, to offer complem entary activities for all ages.
