High St. Columbus OH 43235 DESCRIPTION:The Chamber's annual Golf Outing is recognized as one of the be st outings of its kind in central Ohio. The event is a great way to build relationships with a customer or client\, reward a dedicated employee\, or treat yourself to a day of golf while networking with other Chamber membe rs. This year's event will be held on Monday\, Sept. 29\, at the newly red esigned course at York Golf Club\, 7459 N. High St (shown in the aerial ph oto above). York is celebrating its 90th anniversary and is enjoying one o f the most exciting seasons in its long history. "Not since the second nin e holes were opened in 1931 has as dramatic a change occurred to our cours e\," notes club manager Chuck Dahn. "The redesigned holes are among the mo st beautiful\, challenging and (most importantly) fun in central Ohio." Yo rk boasts one of the most scenic courses around. Nestled along the banks o f the Olentangy River\, the course offers elevation changes that are not u sually associated with central Ohio golf\; it carves its way through trees and hills\, providing a beautiful view. The event has a scramble format. Registration begins at 10 a.m.\, and a shotgun start kicks off the event a t 11 a.m. The registration fee includes 18 holes of golf with cart\, a box lunch\, picnic dinner and assorted beverages. The number of golfers is li mited to 130 players. Participants may register as singles\, in pairs or a s foursomes. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishing teams\, and golfe rs will have a chance to win additional prizes through a door prize drawin g and skill holes on the course. Hole-in-one contests\, sponsored by Worth ington Realty\, will offer some exciting prizes\, highlighted by a $5\,000 cash prize (with a matching $5\,000 prize for the Chamber).
