Location: Streets of Downtown Worthington - primarily along High Street (US 23)\, from SR 161 s outh to South Street\, and on the Village Green. Hours: Event starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. VISITOR INFORMATION: Market Day\, Worthington's largest one-day festival\, captures the spirit of earlier days when farme rs brought their crops to market. Today artisans gather on the streets of Old Worthington to present a colorful and varied display of quality hand-c rafted goods from jewelry\, pottery and ceramics to beautiful paintings\, decorative clothing and unique wood products. More than 250 exhibitors are expected to display their wares. Event parking is available at Thomas Wor thington High School\, 300 W. Dublin-Granville Road\, west of Evening Stre et. A free shuttle service will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shuttles wil l travel from the high school to parking lot of The Worthington Inn and ba ck\, and from the high school to the Griswold Center and back. Limited par king is also available at the Worthington United Methodist Church via Hart ford Street\, and at the Worthington Municipal Parking Lot west of High St reet behind The Worthington Inn. The municipal parking lot on E. New Engla nd Avenue is reserved for handicapped parking only during the event. EXHIB ITOR INFORMATION: APPLICATION PROCEDURES There are different application p rocedures for first-time vendors and vendors who have participated in the event previously. For those who have participated in previous Market Day e vents\, there is an online application option. First-time vendors in Old W orthington Market Day should apply by mail using the printed form availabl e below and supply two clear photographs of their product(s) and one photo graph of their display booth for review. Application Deadline: Early-bird discount ends at the close of business on Thursday\, July 31 (full fee app lies after this date). EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT EXTENDED TO 9 A.M. ON MONDAY\, AUG. 4! Payment: Payment in full must be received with your completed appl ication in the form of a check (made payable to Worthington Area Chamber o f Commerce) or by VISA\, MasterCard\, Discover or American Express. Online registration using a credit card is available to vendors who have partici pated in Old Worthington Market Day in the past. Eligibility Arts & Crafts Vendors: All items sold must be handmade or handcrafted. No commercial or manufactured products will be accepted. Priority will be given to exhibit ors selling their own work. Applicants who did not participate in the 2013 event must submit two clear photographs of their product(s) and one photo graph of their display booth for review. Photos may be emailed to connect@ worthingtonchamber.org . Mailed photos accompanied with a self-addressed\, stamped envelope will be returned. Community Groups: Community organizati ons are encouraged to sell handmade or handcrafted items\; commercial prod ucts will be accepted only if they relate to the group’s mission. Commun ity groups that have not participated in Market Day in the past must sell a product or food item. For food items requiring cooking or refrigeration (e.g.\, grilled brats)\, vendors are responsible for obtaining a temporary food license from Columbus Public Health (fee not included in Market Day application fee). A permit application and regulations may be downloaded a t http://tiny.cc/TempFoodApp2014 . Pre-packaged bake sale items are not su bject to permit regulations. First-time participants must mail photos of p roducts and booth with their applications\, or email the images to connect @worthingtonchamber.org . Food Vendors: Priority will be given to food ven dors who offer unique food offerings that are reasonably priced and will e nhance the experience of those attending the arts and crafts festival. App licants who did not participate in the 2013 event must submit photographs of their product(s) and display booth for review. Food vendors are respons ible for obtaining all necessary food permits to comply with Columbus Publ ic Health regulations. (See the links to permit applications and regulatio ns above.) Farmers' Market Vendors: Current vendors in the Worthington Farmers Market and past participants in Old Worthington Market Day will be accepte d. The rate schedule below on the Farmers Market Vendor application reflec ts a 30 percent discount off standard vendor rates. Farmers' Market vendor s who participate at the discounted rate will be grouped on the southwest Village Green. Farmers' Market vendors who wish to participate at the stan dard Market Day rate\, with placement on High Street\, should apply at the Food Vendor rate\; see above. Disposition of Request: A postcard or e-mai l message\, indicating whether a request to participate in the event has b een accepted or rejected\, will be sent within 10 days of the receipt of a n application. Booth Assignment: The assignment of the booth location is b ased on a number of factors\, including previous booth assignment\, access to electricity\, total space needs\, type of craft or artwork and special needs identified by the vendor. Booth set-up on the day of the event star ts at 7 a.m.\; tear-down ends by 6 p.m. Notification: Vendor information p ackets\, including booth number(s)\, will be mailed early in September. Eq uipment: Participants are responsible for providing all of their booth mat erials and equipment. Permits and Licenses: The State of Ohio requires a v endor’s license for reporting sales tax. Each exhibitor must obtain a ve ndor’s permit prior to the event. All permits must be available for insp ection\, if necessary\, on the day of the event. In consideration of this agreement\, the exhibitor expressly waives any and all claims\, legal or otherwise\, for personal injury and/or property damage sustained while on any part of the premise occupied by Old Worthington Market Day\, the W orthington Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Worthington\, and repr esentatives held harmless from any and all other actions.
