DESCRIPTION:Schreiner Ace Hardware will conduct safety displays and demonst
 rations at the Worthington Fire Department Open House on Sunday\, Oct. 6\,
  as a kickoff to National Fire Prevention Week. This year's theme is kitch
 en safety. Visitors who attend an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the
  fire house can explore the Worthington Fire Department and experience dai
 ly life as a Worthington firefighter\, including these activities: Emergen
 cy Medical Services simulation with the Sim Man Training exercises\, inclu
 ding a drill based on a real-life event where attendees can simulate rescu
 ing a trapped firefighter during a fire. Safety displays\, demonstrations 
 and handouts from Schreiner Ace Hardware and others. The role of staying h
 ealthy and fit in the firefighting profession Safety house Kids' challenge
  course Truck displays Refreshments Continuing the celebration through Oct
 . 12\, Schreiner Ace Hardware will offer First Alert smoke detectors and c
 arbon monoxide detectors on sale for $13.99 and will host a fire truck and
  crew from the Worthington Fire Department at their store on Oct. 12. On t
