 he Chamber's SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) Group invites you to its May 
 meeting on Thursday\, May 26\, from 11:30 to 1 p.m. (Bring your own lunch.
  Beverages available.) at Northwest Library\, 2280 Hard Road\, in the comm
 unity meeting room. If you work in a home office or "wear all the hats" at
  a small office with five or fewer employees\, the Chamber's new Small Off
 ice/Home Office (SOHO) subgroup is for you. At each monthly "brown bag lun
 ch" style meeting\, members exchange best practices and business leads and
  learn from experts about topics that affect small business owners and hom
 e-based businesses\, including legal\, tax\, organizational\, IT and marke
 ting/promotion issues. At the May 26 meeting\, learn about "Four Key Legal
  Issues Affecting Small and Home-Based Businesses." You'll learn and recei
 ve handouts and resources about (1) business entities and formation types 
 and the required filings or compliance issues associated with each\; (2) u
 se of independent contractors to complement your services\; (3) awareness 
 of tax issues affecting small and home-based businesses\; and (4) general 
 contractual issues. SOHO members pay a subgroup fee of $30 per year\, in a
 ddition to their regular Chamber dues. A prospective SOHO member may atten
 d ONE meeting free of charge and then may choose sign up for the group wit
 h the $30 annual fee. Registration is REQUIRED. To register\, click on REG
