DESCRIPTION:Join us for The Get Smart! Business Book Club\, a Chamber partn
 ership with Worthington Libraries. The group meets quarterly at a Chamber-
 member business. McVay's Ethan Allen\, 6767 N. High St.\, will host our Ju
 ly 7 book discussion group\, beginning at 5:30 p.m. There is no charge to 
 attend the event. Pre-registration is encouraged. Light hors d'oeuvres and
  beverages will be furnished\, courtesy of Worthington Libraries and the C
 hamber. The book selection for the July 7 discussion group is "Switch: How
  to Change Things When Change Is Hard" by Chip Heath and Dan Heath. The He
 ath brothers (coauthors of Made to Stick) address motivating employees\, f
 amily members\, and ourselves in their analysis of why we too often fear c
 hange. Change is not inherently frightening\, but our ability to alter our
  habits can be complicated by the disjunction between our rational and irr
 ational minds: the self that wants to be swimsuit-season ready and the sel
 f that acquiesces to another slice of cake anyway. The trick is to find th
 e balance between our powerful drives and our reason. The authors' lessons
  are backed up by anecdotes that deal with such things as new methods used
  to reform abusive parents\, the revitalization of a dying South Dakota to
 wn\, and the rebranding of megastore Target. Through these lively examples
 \, the Heaths speak energetically and encouragingly on how to modify our b
 ehaviors and businesses. This clever discussion is an entertaining and edu
 cational must-read for executives and for ordinary citizens looking to get
