DESCRIPTION:Get Ready ... Get Set ... QuickConnect! QuickConnect is the Cha
 mber's direct sales opportunity for members\, giving participants the oppo
 rtunity to determine quickly if there is a fit in meeting each other's bus
 iness or personal consumer needs. It's fun\, fast and very effective. The 
 Nov. 9 session will be held at The Depot Events Center\, 919 Old Henderson
  Road\, from 8:15 to 10 a.m. (Check-in is at 8:15 a.m. Please be sure to a
 rrive at this time so the start of the timed exercise will not be delayed.
 ) The event will end at 10 a.m. The QuickConnect session is structured so 
 that each participant will make one-on-one contact with 10 others. Partici
 pants face each other and have 90 seconds to discuss their company's produ
 cts or services. Following each contact\, participants indicate the next s
 teps\, including talking further about doing business\; not a fit\; and of
 fering a referral. Prior to the session\, participants are provided a busi
 ness profile/feedback form to complete and bring 11 copies to the session.
  Please note: You should plan to attend QuickConnect ONLY if you have rece
 ived a confirmation of your attendance and a copy of the questionnaire to 
 complete\, or a notice that your business category is full and you will sc
 heduled at another date. Considerable care is taken to match QuickConnect 
 participants with other Chamber connections. Therefore\, we are unable to 
 accommodate walk-ins or unregistered attendees for this session. For the s
 ame reasons\, it is important that you contact us to cancel if you will be
  unable to fill your scheduled space at QuickConnect so that we can rearra
 nge the networking layout to ensure others are not inconvenienced. QuickCo
 nnect is free for members who pre-register -- but there is a $10 fee for t
 hose who cancel without notification (policy enacted Jan. 1\, 2010). To ma
 ke the session as meaningful as possible to participants\, the number of b
 usinesses from a single business category (banks\, insurance\, financial s
 ervices\, etc.) will be limited to two businesses. In addition\, members w
 ho have not previously participated in QuickConnect are given preference o
 ver those from the same business category who have attended a recent sessi
 on. This procedure expands interest in QuickConnect and helps all particip
 ants receive the maximum benefit from the exercise . Please register by Oc
