Hours: Event starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. VISITOR INFORMATION: Market Day\, Worthington's largest one-day festival\, captures the spirit of earlier days when farme rs brought their crops to market. Today artisans gather on the streets of Old Worthington to present a colorful and varied display of quality hand-c rafted goods from jewelry\, pottery and ceramics to beautiful paintings\, decorative clothing and unique wood products. More than 250 exhibitors are expected to display their wares. Other attractions this year include the Old Worthington Quarter Beer Festival (a fundraiser benefiting the Worthin gton Food Pantry)\; the Worthington Historical Society Flea Market\; the F riends Foundation of Worthington Libraries Market Day Book Sale\; Farmers Market vendors on the southwest Village Green\; a children's activity area and musical performances. Click here to preview the list of vendors and a ctivities. Event parking is available at Thomas Worthington High School\, 300 W. Dublin-Granville Road\, west of Evening Street. A free shuttle serv ice — provided by the City of Worthington/Griswold Center\, Friendship V illage of Columbus\, The Laurels of Norworth and Worthington\, Trillium Pl ace and Willow Brook Christian Home — will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shuttles will travel from the high school to parking lot of The Worthingt on Inn and back\, and from the high school to the Griswold Center and back . Limited parking is also available at the Worthington United Methodist Ch urch via Hartford Street\, and at the Worthington Municipal Parking Lot we st of High Street behind The Worthington Inn. The municipal parking lot on E. New England Avenue is reserved for handicapped parking only during the event. EXHIBITOR INFORMATION: APPLICATION PROCEDURES There are different application procedures for first-time vendors and vendors who have partici pated in the event previously. For those who have participated in previous Market Day events\, there is an online application option. Since first-ti me vendors in Old Worthington Market Day must submit two clear photographs of their product(s) and one photograph of their display booth for review\ , online registration is not available. See instructions below. GENERAL VE NDOR INFORMATION Application Deadline: Friday\, July 15 ($25 late filing f ee applies after this date\; fee must accompany late application). Payment : Payment in full must be received with your completed application in the form of a check (made payable to Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce) or by VISA\, MasterCard\, Discover or American Express. Online registration u sing a credit card is available only to vendors who have participated in O ld Worthington Market Day in the past. Eligibility Arts & Crafts Vendors: All items sold must be handmade or handcrafted\; no commercial products wi ll be accepted\, and priority will be given to artists and craftpersons wh o are selling their own work. To ensure the event’s quality standards ar e met\, applicants who did not participate in a past Market Day event (wit hin two years) are required to submit two clear photographs of their produ ct(s) and one photograph of their display booth for review. Only photos ac companied with a self-addressed\, stamped envelope will be returned. Commu nity Groups: Community organizations are encouraged to sell handmade or ha ndcrafted items\; commercial products will be accepted only if they relate to the community/school/church group (e.g.\, clothing with the name or lo go of a school team or community organization). Community groups that have not participated in Market Day in the past must sell a product or food it em. New requests for information booths or raffles will not be accepted du e to space limitations. Food Vendors: Priority will be given to food vendo rs that offer unique food offerings that are reasonably priced and will en hance the experience of those attending the arts and crafts festival. Disp osition of Request: A postcard or e-mail message\, indicating whether a re quest to participate in the event has been accepted or rejected\, will be sent within 10 days of the receipt of an application. Booth Assignment: Th e assignment of the booth location is based on a number of factors\, inclu ding previous booth assignment\, access to electricity\, total space needs \, type of craft or artwork and special needs identified by the vendor. Bo oth set-up on the day of the event starts at 7 a.m.\; tear-down ends by 6 p.m. Notification: Vendor information packets\, including booth number(s)\ , will be mailed during the first week of September. Equipment: Participan ts are responsible for providing all of their booth materials and equipmen t. Vendor's License: The State of Ohio requires a vendor’s license for r eporting sales tax. Each exhibitor must obtain a vendor’s permit prior t o the event. All permits must be available for inspection\, if necessary\, on the day of the event.
