DESCRIPTION:John Dear: Leadership in every community is crucial to its futu
 re\, and Worthington is no exception. Worthington has a number of leaders 
 in elected and appointed positions related to the schools\, city and other
  local governments who have given many years of dedicated service to our c
 ommunity. Leadership voids can be created through a change in jobs or othe
 r circumstances. We also know that fresh ideas\, new viewpoints and fair q
 uestions encourage productive and effective government. That’s why it is
  important to businesspeople and residents that a resource of potential le
 aders for our community be developed – individuals who are willing to se
 rve in the future and are prepared to step into leadership roles to ensure
  that our community will continue to be one of the best in which to live a
 nd work. I invite you to join members of the Chamber who\, like you\, live
  in the City of Worthington or elsewhere in the Worthington School Distric
 t\, and members of the Chamber’s advocacy and government relations commi
 ttee to a special meeting for Chamber members to discuss community leaders
 hip and how the Chamber can play a meaningful role in identifying and help
 ing to prepare future community leaders who understand the needs of the co
 mmunity and appreciate the important role that businesses play in supporti
 ng the quality of life and services we enjoy. The meeting will be held on 
 Wednesday\, May 23\, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Conference Room of th
