 ridges to others. In recent years\, proponents of the social capital theor
 y have suggested that increasing or renewing these relationships can help 
 us strengthen communities. Our speaker will explore the ways that increasi
 ng social capital also can enrich your small business or entrepreneurial v
 enture. Dr. Shah Hasan will lead us in an exploration of the resources tha
 t are linked with our networks of connections\, and how valuable our conne

 nning university professor and lecturer with a background in women's studi
 es\, marketing and communications\, and organizational leadership\, Shah H
 asan\, Ph.D.\, is currently director of the M.B.A. program at Otterbein Co
 llege. Dr. Hasan has had a long career in higher education as an administr
 ator and faculty member. He is a frequent consultant and speaker in the ar
 eas of leadership\, faculty work\, change and transition\, human developme
 nt\, and managing organizations and movements. He earned a B.A. in English
  and women's studies from The College of Wooster\, an M.A. in higher educa
 tion administration from The Ohio State University\, and a Ph.D. in higher
