Recreation and The Arts
Sports, recreation, relaxation, fun
and fellowship abound in Worthington. Our city boasts
more than 200 acres of parklands that feature
baseball/softball diamonds, soccer/lacrosse fields,
playgrounds, tennis courts and 13 parks. Our residents
enjoy a new community center with two indoor pools,
state-of-the-art fitness center, jogging track and much
more.
The city is also home to an extensive
indoor/outdoor competition and recreation swimming
complex.

of youth and adult sports and fitness programs to fit

Worthington has an active arts
community. The Worthington Arts Council
presents visual arts series as well as several other
events throughout the year. The Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center
is expected to open in summer 2009, and the Chamber will
hold a Business After Hours there in early December to
help celebrate the center's debut.
Activities for the 50+ crowd
abound in Worthington! Our senior citizens enjoy
programs, art, fitness, fun and education in the City’s
Griswold Center as well as several area retirement and

Golf or tennis, anyone? The
Worthington area has several private courses and clubs.
There are also many public courses in the central Ohio
area.
