2005 Award Recipient

Bryan Myers is president of B&C Blacktop Sealing, Inc., whose company is located at 7530 Worthington-Galena Road.

The company’s mission is to offer a comprehensive suite of asphalt paving solutions and services for residential and commercial customers. Employees strive to honestly evaluate the work required and provide a solution that best suits the client’s needs and offers the best return on investment, using products that are functional, enduring, aesthetically pleasing, environmentally responsible and provide a sound long-term solution.

Bryan started B&C Blacktop in 1993 as a way to earn money during summer recess while at The Ohio State University. The first year he seal-coated driveways using buckets and hand applicators. The second year business increased, and the company’s potential began to emerge.

The following season Bryan purchased seal-coating and crack-filling equipment, which allowed the company to expand its residential market offerings and enter the commercial market.

As the company grew, Bryan looked for markets that he felt were under served, offered growth opportunity and would give the company a competitive advantage. Infrared repair was added to the company’s services in 1997. Shortly thereafter, paving services were offered. Now in its 12th season, B&C Blacktop is equipped to address virtually any residential or commercial asphalt need.

B&C Blacktop has been located in the Worthington area for the past seven years, and the company has been a local Chamber member for the past five years. The company has been a sponsor of Chamber events, and Bryan has actively supported fund-raising activities of the organization. He has also donated service packages to the Operation Feed Drive in Worthington.

The company is also a member of the Better Business Bureau of Central Ohio.
