Bill
Alsnauer
State Farm Insurance & Financial Services
Term: 2009-2011
One of the top performers in the
State Farm insurance organization, Bill Alsnauer is
respected both professionally and personally for his
skills and achievements. Bill was honored with the
Chamber’s Small Business Person of the Year Award in
2007.
He ranks in the top 5 percent to 10 percent of State
Farm agents nationally and has earned the company’s
highest profit recognition. Bill’s agency, which
provides clients with a full range of insurance products
and financial services, has been in the Worthington area
for nearly 30 years. During that time his agency has
been recognized for outstanding customer service,
profitability and adaptability. He earned his Chartered
Life Underwriting (CLU) designation in 2002.
The insurance business is a family tradition for Bill.
He became a State Farm agent in 1980, following in the
footsteps of his father, who had a distinguished career
with State Farm. His daughter also has begun a career as
a State Farm agent.
Bill and his wife, Karen, who is pastor of Gethsemane
Lutheran Church, are longtime Worthington residents and
volunteers. Bill has been actively involved in the
community, especially in youth activities. He served as
a Boy Scout pack leader and assistant scoutmaster;
served as president of a civic association; and is
involved in church youth programs and choirs. He is a
member of the Worthington and Clintonville chambers of
commerce and other local business organizations.
Bill’s customer focus is welcomed on the Chamber’s board
of trustees. He was one of the first Chamber members to
take advantage of the new Web site’s advertising
opportunities. He purchased key banner ads in the
“Moving to Worthington” section of the site and uses the
link to the “Relocation 411” page of resources to brand
his agency and help prospective customers who are moving
to the area.
